– The larger tool uses the # 2 Hunter Cutter and is fabricated on a 1/2″ round shank
– The smaller tool uses the #1 Hunter Cutter and is fabricated on a 3/8″ round shank
Our #2 Hunter Osprey tool is supplied with a 16″ handle with 2″ epoxied into the handle. Without a handle, the overall length of the tool shaft is 8″. With 2″ epoxied into the handle the overall length will be 22″. If you are buying the shaft only to use with your own handle, we recommend a 16” handle with about 2″ of the shaft epoxied into the handle.

This larger #2 Hunter Osprey tool uses the #2 Hunter Cutter and is built on a 1/2″ diameter shank. The Osprey is a great tool for those fine finish cuts. It is used just like any other gouge: anchor, bevel, cut.
